FIRMENICH INAUGURATES NEW PLANT IN INDONESIA
Firmenich, the world’s largest privately-owned flavor and fragrance company, celebrated the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art encapsulation facility today at Karawang International Industrial City, near Jakarta, Indonesia, in the presence of CEO Patrick Firmenich and other senior Firmenich executives, top officials from the Indonesian Government, and the Swiss Ambassador. The facility is dedicated to the production of the company’s proprietary flavor encapsulation technology, Durarome®, and represents an initial investment of $30 million.
FIRMENICH PUBLISHES 2013 ANNUAL RESULTS
For its 2013 fiscal year, ended June 30, 2013, Firmenich posted sales of CHF 2.89 billion, an increase of +7.0% in local currencies and +10.0% in Swiss Francs, its reporting currency. The company recorded increases in all geographic regions, as it vigorously pursued growth opportunities in both developed and high-growth markets and sharpened its focus on innovation.
