To reinforce our sustainability governance we have welcomed two new members to our Sustainability Council: Naandi Foundations CEO Mr. Manoj Kumar and IBLFs (International Business Leaders Forum) Director of Strategic Relations Ms. Olive Boles. Firmenich has also been recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative for its work to help Vetiver farmers in Haiti and by the Ethical Corporation as Best Private Company during their 2011 award ceremony.
2010
Firmenich has fully embedded it's approach to Sustainability in our new corporate vision "Embrace 2015". In addition to our existing solar installations worldwide, we opened our latest solar facility in Princeton, NJ U.S.A, with over 3000 PV panels that we produce close to one megawatt of electricity.

Firmenich exceeds three of its five 2010 environmental goals. Overall, we have 14 ISO 9001 Quality certifications, 9 ISO 14001 Environmental certifications, 10 OHSAS 18001 Safety certifications and 16 Food Safety Standard certifications.

Firmenich becomes the first in the industry to sign the UNs Global Compact, committing us to perform against ten principles upholding social, environmental and anti-corruption.
Firmenich commits to finding solutions to the impending global crisis over the availability of clean water by signing the CEO Water Mandate.
Firmenich establishes the Firmenich Sustainability Advisory Board, comprised of 5 independent experts.

Invited to become a member of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) Business Alliance, to help promote market-based solutions to malnutrition.
Launched a sustainable vanilla sourcing program in Uganda, embracing business, social and environmental objectives and improving the lives of thousands of Ugandan vanilla farmers.

Firmenich is first in the industry to launch an independently-verified Sustainability Report, certified by international verification Group, SGS.
