  • Deep Commitment to Social Responsibility

    Last but not least, Firmenich is investing in industry-leading environmental goals for 2020, such as powering 100% of its plants with renewable energy by 2020. For example, the Group recently invested over 30 million RMB in a thermal oxidizer, to significantly reduce the odors released from its plant in Shanghai into the surrounding neighborhood.

  • Chinese Footprint

    Firmenich has been investing consistently over the last 20 years to expand its footprint and capabilities in China to best meet its customers’ needs with innovative and locally-relevant solutions. From an operations standpoint, the Group runs three manufacturing plants covering its three Business Units. The Perfumery and Flavor sites are based in Shanghai; while the Group inaugurated a new state-of-the-art ingredient plant in Kunming in the Yunnan province in 2014. Furthermore, construction of a new flavor plant will begin in 2017 to meet the growing demand for innovative, consumer-focused flavor solutions.
