FIRMENICH MASTER PERFUMER TONY REICHERT DISTINGUSHED WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2018

Geneva, Switzerland, June 7, 2018 – Firmenich proudly announces that Tony Reichert, Master Perfumer, Firmenich is this year’s recipient of the American Society of Perfumers’ Lifetime Achievement Award. The award ceremony was held today at the World Perfumery Congress, the industry-leading global forum for fragrance creation, ingredients, and technology, taking place this year in Nice, France.

“I am honoured to receive this incredible recognition and I sincerely thank the American Society of Perfumers for this precious tribute to my life’s work,” said Tony Reichert, Master Perfumer, Firmenich. “Being a Perfumer is the best job in the world, I feel extremely privileged to work every day with some of the best creators in the industry. I am particularly inspired by our younger perfumers, as I always learn as much from them, as they learn from me. They try things I would never think of, pushing the boundaries of our art.”

Today, Tony is one of Firmenich’s twelve Master Perfumers, where he continues to take his creative mastery to new heights. A champion of Firmenich new ingredients and technologies, Tony is a pioneer in his field and a recognized category leader in laundry softeners and air care, with many major market successes to his name. He is also deeply committed to training and developing the Company’s next generation of young perfumers, instilling them with his passion for winning.

Tony has had an illustrious career in the fragrance industry spanning more than 40 years. At the age of 19, he worked for a short time in Flavors, before falling in love with the world of Perfumery. Since then he has travelled the globe bringing his exceptional expertise to new markets, with a particular focus on Brazil. Prior to joining the Company, he completed his Perfumer training at Lautier Aromatics, before briefly working at PPL (later Quest) and then IFF, before finding a permanent home at Firmenich in 1995. Today, through his creativity, he shapes many of the most beloved and innovative scents for some of the world’s most recognizable household brands.
