PRESS RELEASE

FIRMENICH HONORED BY THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY TO BENEFIT LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER®

Geneva, Switzerland, September 27th, 2013 - Firmenich’s Jerry Vittoria, President of the Company’s North American Fine Fragrance Creative Center, and Pamela Baxter, President and Chief Executive Officer LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics for North America were honored at the 29th annual DreamBall in New York City. The DreamBall Gala benefits the American Cancer Society and Look Good Feel Better® (LGFB), the only nationwide gratis program dedicated to boosting cancer patients’ self-esteem and confidence through lessons on coping with appearance side effects of the disease.

“The dynamic partnership between the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and The American Cancer Society is profoundly important in supporting the public service programs of Look Good Feel Better® and improving the quality of life of women undergoing treatment for cancer. I am deeply honored to have been part of the Look Good Feel Better® program and thoroughly encourage everyone to experience one of these workshops for themselves,” said Vittoria.

Since 1989, the American Cancer Society and the Personal Care Products Council Foundation have joined together for the DreamBall, raising over $39,000,000 for the LGFB® program. The black tie gala is hosted every September and is attended by leaders of the cosmetic, personal care products and fashion industry. Since its founding, LGFB® has provided assistance to more than 750,000 women with 6,000 caring volunteers helping 50,000 women annually. Today LGFB® is a thriving global program helping thousands of women each year to look and feel beautiful, and find hope and courage at a time when it is often in short supply. The DreamBall is the primary source of funding for this vital support program.

As leaders in the beauty industry, Firmenich tirelessly supports the women worldwide that their products touch. Patrick Firmenich said "FIrmenich has been a proud partner of this crucial program since its inception, understanding that helping a woman to Look Good helps her to Feel Better, that caring and community builds confidence and strength." Firmenich also received this honor in 1999, when Patrick, the current CEO of the company, was honored.
