Firmenich Appoints Francesco Riosa Vice President, Fine Fragrance Europe

Geneva, Switzerland, October 15, 2019 - Firmenich is pleased to announce the appointment of Francesco Riosa as Vice President, Fine Fragrance Europe. He brings extensive industry experience to this role.

Jerry Vittoria, President, Fine Fragrance Worldwide stated, “I am happy to welcome Francesco Riosa as the head of our European teams to further drive business success in Europe. His leadership and fresh vision of the market will be crucial in challenging new development opportunities and strengthening the future of Fine Fragrance in the region.”

Francesco Riosa added, “I have always been passionate about perfumes and I am thrilled to join the company that believes passion and emotion can be harnessed for the greater good. I look forward to helping to drive creativity and innovation at a time of opportunity and transformation.”

Francesco began his career at Procter & Gamble in Germany. He then moved to Paris in 1996 to join L’Oréal Luxury as International Product Manager for Giorgio Armani fragrances, where he created and launched the first global Emporio Armani fragrances. He then became European Area Manager for all L’Oréal Luxury, Prestige & Collections fragrances for European Travel Retail. Francesco then moved to Dior Parfums, where he took on roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in the position of International Business Development Director Perfumes. In 2012, he joined Prada Fragrances, as General Manager for the Joint Venture between Prada and Puig. During the last five years, he has been Vice President in charge of Global Marketing at Richemont for Panerai.

Francesco holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Science from the L.U.I.S.S. University in Rome and a MBA from INSEAD. An Italian national with very strong international experience, he was born in the Middle East, and lives in Paris with his French wife, Loraine, and their two sons Lorenzo and Raphaël.
