Sandalwood

A subtle warm sandalwood note with delicate sweetness and a hint of leather undertones.

It is ideal for creating a sandalwood accord, lending a creamy warmth. It also complements floral woody fragrances when blended. Additionally, it can be introduced into leathery or oud accords to round out and balance their animalic aspects.

dsm-firmenich uses the upcycled Turpentine extracted from the paper industry, often those that use softwood to manufacture cardboard. Derived originally from softwoods, this turpentine is valorized through a fractionation process in which we retrieve alpha and beta pinene, the two main molecules obtained from fractionated turpentine.
