TETRAROME® ORANGE is designed to enhance fresh, citrus and zesty effect. It calls to mind an elegant ribbon of orange peel. The TETRAROME® range of ingredients offers rare and unique profiles combining nice volatiles preserved from the primary cold expression during the process with low terpenes content.
TETRAROME® is a citrus extract with low limonene content, highly concentrated in citrus oil aldehydes. It is very concentrated compared to a classic process which gives power to citrus notes.
It elegantly blends in composition with essential oil, offering an incredible long-lasting effect and pure performance. Originally developed for Flavor applications, this 4 fold equivalent product has been largely used by dsm-firmenich Perfumers in different applications.
For citrus fruits, both the juice and the peel serve as critical sources for natural extracts that deliver olfaction and taste experiences. Our citrus oils are the byproducts of the fresh juice industry, extracted from the zest of the fruits being processed using a cold pressed technique.
The resulting juice is filtered for the juice industry, and the oil, separated through centrifugation, is utilized by the fragrance & flavors industry.
Tetrarome® is a specialty developed and produced in La Plaine from Citrus Oils extracted from the juice.
Citrus zests, the first part of the fruit processed for the perfumery, food & drink industry, are mechanically scratched resulting in a blend of oil and watery juice.
Furthermore, using our unique TETRAROME® processing method we can extract fragrance materials from the fruit used entirely, leaving no remaining byprodyct unprocessed.
A complex process, invented and perfectly monitored by dsm-firmenich, hence preserving the exact olfactive profile of the citrus fruits, from zesty to fruity notes.
This ingredient is both convenient for perfumery and flavor applications.
Orange oil is extracted from the peel of the fruit using a cold process system. The peel oil composition brings multiple characteristics which are beneficial and largely used in the flavors and fragrance industry. Orange originated in China but has since spread to all parts of the world. The fruit is consumed fresh and processed to make orange juice; the peel is recovered during processing for post upcycling purposes.
Brazil
The largest fruit processor in the world of orange is Brazil, followed by the USA and Mexico.
