Native to Australia and also known under the name of Sidney Black Wattle, Mimosa has been cultivated in many regions of the world for its bark first.
India and Morocco are today the main producing countries of this highly fragrant species.

This mimosa is sourced by Firmenich in India from its local joint venture, Jasmine Concrete EPL.
Jasmine Concrete is purchasing the flowers from local harvesters in Nilgiris and Dindigul districts of Tamil Nadu. Mimosa is collected from wild harvest in this area and then brought to Jasmine Concrete factories for extraction.

Harvests take place during two periods in the region: from March to May and October to November.

Benefits in use

With floral, sweet and hay profile, mimosa is key in herbal blends, or in Honey flavors.
It can also be used to provide body in a lot of flavors, from cherry to pip fruits
