Sourcing

Petitgrain comes from the bitter orange tree, Citrus aurantium, and main regions of production are Paraguay and France.

Paraguay

dsm-firmenich sources its Petitgrain from the San Pedro region of Paraguay, an area known for its sunny climate, ideal for growing citrus. Paraguay Petitgrain is known for its characteristic tonality.
Every day from October to March, smallholder farmers carefully cut the leaves from the tree by hand. These are left standing for 24 hours before processing by the farmers themselves.
