Galbanum is well-known for its very intense green scent accompanied by a turpentine and resinous odor.

The initial notes are bitter, followed by complex green, spicy, woody, balsam-like notes.

Incorporated into any composition, galbanum boosts fragrance properties.

It thus enters into the composition of many perfumes because of its power to fix odor and enhance long-lastingness.

A primary extraction with a volatile solvent on fresh or dry biomass yields to a Concrete or Resinoid.
The Absolute is obtained via a second purification step in the process.

Extracted part of the plant: gums.
This ingredient is both convenient for perfumery and flavor applications.
