Peppermint has a fresh specific aroma thanks to mentol. Most of the spearmint production comes from China and India and is extracted as as a commodity oil. Smaller productions are done on the northern hemisphere where the quality allows the leaves to be used directly.

This mint is sourced in Uttar Pradesh area, our biggest origin regarding volumes. The smallholders are harvesting mint and performing locally the distillation. Collectors gather the oils and blend them to obtain the desire high quality of essential oil.
