An elegant blend of ambery and animalic tones that evoques ambergris. Very strong and powerful, it features hints of leather with a subtle muskiness.

Mostly used in small doses, it serves as a perfect enhancer to amber notes. Adding depth, complexity, and texture to all perfume types, it also reproduces the natural scent of ambergris, infusing a sensual and animalic aroma with a fixative effect.

This pioneering work led to the synthesis of Ambrox® and Ambrinol in the 1950s, marking the foundation of modern amber notes and revolutionizing fine fragrance.

1950 - dsm-firmenich discovers the chemical structure of AMBROX® and AMBRINOL, part of natural Ambergris (L.Ruziscka -Nobel prize in 1939, M. Stoll and E. Lederer).
