Upcycling description

dsm-firmenich uses the upcycled Turpentine extracted from the paper industry, often those that use softwood to manufacture cardboard. Derived originally from softwoods, this turpentine is valorized through a fractionation process in which we retrieve alpha and beta pinene, the two main molecules obtained from fractionated turpentine.

Process

Chemical synthesis corresponds to the construction of complex chemical compounds from simpler ones.
Our R&D follows the principles of Green chemistry whenever possible.

History

The Citrus Terpenic family, an essential in Perfumery, embodies dsm-firmenich's dedication to green chemistry. This collection predominantly features renewable and upcycled molecules, particularly those produced at our facilities in France. With vibrant notes reminiscent of zesty lemon, fresh lilac and rising pine, these ingredients bring a sustainable and eco-friendly touch to your fragrance creations.
