Responsible Procurement
Sourcing responsibly demands sustained focus all along the supply chain. It means being transparent about who and where we source our ingredients and our services from.
Sustainability secures the integrity of our supply chain, now and for the future, as well as the livelihoods of the communities that underpin it. Through our three pillars, we actively enhance the resilience of our suppliers.
Our strategy, based on a risk approach, relies on independent partners such as EcoVadis, Sedex, and the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT) for greater transparency and risk management, and effective support for our suppliers in the field.

Our global Business Ethics program goes beyond legal compliance. For the first time, we have been recognized as one of the 2022 World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere®, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices. Ethisphere honored only 136 companies in the world with this distinction in 2022.
Digital Acceleration, Cyber Security & Traceability
Digital technology is opening new horizons for sustainability. From traceability in sourcing to augmented innovation and sustainable creation, we are leveraging our data to meet the requirements of the conscious consumer.
To assist full transparency and traceability in fragile and complex supply chains, our digital application Path2Farm™ allows us to understand the full chain from registered farmers to final products. The Path2Farm™ ingredients enrich the existing “Certified Origin” collection, part of the Naturals Together™ program.
To support a fact- and science-based sustainability journey, increased data transparency and security is paramount for all our stakeholders. Firmenich has been certified ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.
