As a founding member of the Global Alliance for YOUth – a movement of 21 like-minded organizations, including Nestlé, Microsoft, and Adecco - we aim to help 15 million young people worldwide build their employability skills by 2022.

Discover our trainee programs and apprenticeships
Fragrance Development Manager Program
This program covers every aspect of the complex processes involved in creating and launching a fragrance. Since we launched the program more than 30 years ago, it has been continuously expanded and improved, so that it now encompasses everything from consumer insights and marketing to technical processes and olfactive strategy. The program combines formal and project-based training, while every participant is mentored by a senior manager or functional expert.

Perfumer Program
Are great perfumers made or born? Based on the industry legends who have emerged through our Perfumer program, we believe both nature and nurture are involved. This cross-border program, which runs for 4-5 years, immerses you on the world of frangrance creation. You learn about natural and synthetic ingredients, fragrance design and marketing, consumer research and product roll-out. Your teachers and mentors will include some of the worlds' leading perfumers.

Flavorist Program
Our creators keep us competitive and they include our amazingly talented flavorists. To nurture their next generation we run our Flavorist program. It takes you on a journey through all aspects of flavor creation by combining formal and project-based international training. Being taught and mentored by senior flavorists and other experts will help you hone the skills you need to succeed.

Apprenticeships
We have welcomed apprentices since 1956, when we ran our first program in our Geneva headquarters. Today, we still offer apprenticeships there but also in the US and several other locations. You have the chance to choose between work-based programs designed to prepare you for a scientific, technical, commercial or support role with Firmenich.
