Leading The Industry in Climate, Water & Waste Management
Acting for Climate & Environment
Urgent and concerted global action is needed to address climate change. We are acting to minimize our impact and aim to lead our industry towards zero carbon emissions.
We made our first public environmental commitment three decades ago and, since then, our focus has been unwavering. We are making great inroads on our vision to be carbon neutral and moving towards a circular economy.
In 2021, Firmenich was recognized by CDP as a leader in corporate sustainability, with a Triple “A” for climate change, water security, and forests. We are one of only 10 companies worldwide to have achieved a Triple “A” listing, out of more than 9,600 responses, and one of only two companies worldwide to have achieved this triple A status for three years in a row.
This world-class distinction recognizes our commitment to responsible business, supported by ambitious science-based targets, aligned with 1.5°C, and industry-leading environmental goals. In 2020, Firmenich was the first company in its industry to reach 100% renewable electricity, worldwide.
